Resizing your photos for emails

10/2/2016

Picture
statue blends with tower.
If sending photos in your emails to us, it can be helpful if they are first re-sized. The minimum size for reasonable assessment of statuary is around 1000 x 800 pixels.
The image above is too small, it is approximately 200 pixels square, if you click on it to enlarge, the problem becomes clear...so to speak!

To help you to resize your photos here are some guidelines using the popular windows "PAINT" programme.

Upload your photos to a folder on your computer library.
Open windows PAINT and click on the blue box ( shown upper left)
Click on the icon which says "open"

The next pop up window will show  a selection of your photo images.

Select the one you want, and click "open"

Once the image is displayed on your screen,
click the option on the menu bar which says " Resize" and "Ske
w"

The box will prompt you to select how you want to Resize your image; by Percentage or Pixels.
If sending photos, do not put enter a value higher than  "2000" into one of the boxes.
This is because Photos that are too small will not show enough useful detail.
The computer will automatically add the corresponding value.

Click "Okay" at the foot of the window to complete the command.

The image will now appear smaller on the screen.
Click the blue box top left of your screen and select "Save as" from the pop - up window.

Save as a J.Peg, and you can now re- name your photo with its new size,
for example: Lilies 2000 x 1000.

 And that should be it!
