Saint and angels repair banner_edited_ed

Statuary in our churches remind us of the saints in their glory; yet Like the lilies of the field, that glory can fade as paint surfaces deteriorate with age, and wear and tear incurs breaks and chips.

Novice attempts at repainting and repairs are seldom successful, occasionally they cause irreversible  damage. To keep the saints looking their best, why not contact us, we will  be happy to help.

Saint King David - novice paintwork had diminished the beauty of King David's features; fluorescent paintwork was unsuitable for his Royal gown.
The new colour scheme and gown was inspired by the famous painting of King David playing his harp by Gerrit Von Honthorst 1622

Angels with dirty faces and broken wings: lamp-bearing angels (right) are composed of a composite substrate requiring special treatments. The original colours of gowns were found beneath stone effect paintworks. The decorative borders were designed for the statuary on out client's request. St. Walburger's shrine Preston.
